Click 'Book Now' above to book your individual appointment with a mediator.  The individual meeting is often called a ‘MIAM’ (Mediation Information and Assessment Meeting).  You can use your individual meeting to review all your options and obtain independent information and expert help from a family mediator.

Topics we help with are arrangements for children and sorting finances after separation and divorce.  We assist partners, spouses, parents and extended family members.

At your individual meeting, you will speak confidentiality to your mediator by video-call (the other person in the dispute isn't present at this first meeting).  Your mediator will want to hear about your current situation and your aims.  They will give you information on all your options, and walk you through a plan for how to resolve the issues.  Afterwards, the mediator will contact the other person to see if an agreement can be worked out.  Where this isn't possible or appropriate, the mediator can provide a Mediator Certificate to allow an application to Family Court.

You do not need to prepare anything for your individual meeting, but you are welcome to note down any questions you have and bring them to the meeting, if you would find that useful.

Your individual meeting is held by video-call with a specialist Family Mediator and around 45 minutes.  When you book, we will send you an email with a link to join the session.  The video-call uses Zoom, and you can join it using a smartphone, tablet or computer.
